The burning bush out of which God spoke to Moses is a good symbol of the church. It burned yet it was not consumed. It pictures the fact that the church will continue until the end of time because God is in her.

The Lord calls upon believers to stand up for the truth: “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3). It is very obvious today that we need to recover our heritage of pure religion and pass it on to others.
