Scottish Reformation Society

The Society’s Aberdeen Branch, founded in 1998, meets during the period from October to April in the Footdee Mission, Footdee, Aberdeen, AB11 5DQ. Click here to see a streetmap.

The meetings for this session are on the theme of ‘The Covenanters’ and are as follows:

• Friday 29th September 2006: Mr James Dickson (Kilsyth) – ‘An Introduction and Overview of the Covenanting Period’

• Friday 27th October 2006: Rev. David Silversides (N. Ireland) – ‘A Rationale of Arms’. Please note that this meeting will be preceded by the Branch AGM at 7.00pm.

• Friday 24th November 2006: Rev. Murdo A.N. Macleod (Glasgow) – ‘The Covenanter Thomas Hog’

• Friday 23rd February 2007: Rev. David Campbell (Isle of Lewis) – ‘The Covenanter Alexander Peden’

• Friday 9th March 2007: Mr James Dickson (Kilsyth) – ‘The Three Battles of the Covenanters’

• Friday 30th March 2007: Rev. A. Sinclair Horne (Edinburgh) – ‘The Covenanter James Renwick and the Legacy of the Covenanters’

Please note also the following meeting:

• Friday 26th May 2007: Annual Covenanter Conventicle at Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven. Preacher: Rev. A. Sinclair Horne (Edinburgh). Assemble at top of castle steps at 2.30pm.
